Its cold here in Colorado.  We've had snow on the ground for the last three weeks and most of the last two months. I was going to send these pictures last August but didn't get around to it and, now, its seems preferable to sending winter photos.  If its cold where you are,  I hope this warms you up a little.

Today, I planned to do yard work even though it was going to be HOT!  Mary Lea pointed out some beautiful flowers in the yard in the early morning cool time and I ran to get my camera.  Bless that camera!  I haven't done a lick of yard work and its WAY too late to get started now. -)

Let me know if you know what this critter is.  I think it might be a Head Clipper Weevil.  Maybe I need to go back out and ask it to leave.

Seems early but the Mountain Mahogany are in full seed.  This is one of my favorite subjects.
