Hi Ron,
Here are some photos I took on our trip to the Pacific NW. Don't forget that you can enlarge the picture by clicking on it.
We spent a few days on San Juan Island off the coast of Washington but inland of Vancouver Island. We caught the ferry before sunrise and were in the channels between the islands when the sun came up. It was pretty quiet on deck when I took this.

We pulled into Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. This picture shows the town and the dock. I'm showing it partly to help with an abstract image that follows.

I hadn't eaten yet and the crab cake and eggs that I ate at a dockside
restaurant rank right up there with the best I've had. Perhaps its true
that hunger is the best sauce.
I walked down to a dock, sat down, thought Otis Redding thoughts, and took a few photos. You'll see boat masts, lines, piers, and a red crane.

I puzzled over which abstract version to send. If you have the time, check out the ones at the bottom and tell me if you like one more that the others. It might help me.
The highlight of San Juan Island was Lime Kiln Park. Its a viewing area for Orcas. We were lucky enough to see them for three hours. Sorry, I just looked and didn't take pictures. I don't have the equipment or disposition to photograph wildlife. It was crowded with folks when the Orcas were there. I came back with my camera when it was quiet.

This is the bark of a Madrone tree. Its a weird tree to us high plains folk.

After some time on the Olympic peninsula, we drove down the Oregon coast. We hit it on a weekend and it felt crowded. I'd like to see it again, perhaps during a Winter storm.

Well, this was longer than I intended. We had a great time and thanks for checking out my pictures.
